Hi...I’m ASTRA
 and I’ve volunteered to become an “ELF” in the
2020 “12 Days of Christmas Campaign”

I’m one of the GOADogs.
My proper name is Astrachan and I’m named after a really old type of apple but my friends call me “Astra” for short.  I’ve enlisted as an “elf” to help Santa Paws with his Medical Miracles Fund for Service Dogs.

Santa asked me to help with this fund because I know how great that need is.  You see, in 2016 I had an accident and I sustained a spinal cord injury. For a while I couldn’t walk and I thought my career was over.  I did lots of therapy to get my legs working again and the good news is that I got a Christmas miracle because it worked and I can walk now with only a small limp and I can even run. Santa says OHIP doesn’t cover dogs and it costs a lot of money to get a dog walking again so he figures I am the perfect choice to head up the
Medical Miracles Fundraiser.

I REALLY know what it is like to live with a disability now so I’m going put my best foot forward and help Santa by filling my “Nice List” so we can continue to help people with disabilities.
